Equine Education and Advocacy
Annual educational events to bring people and horses together - Common Ground Clinic, Horse Sense 101, Horse Heritage Festival.
We have recently obtained our 501c3 for the non-profit branch of our organization, the Horse Heritage Conservancy.
Horse Park and Trail System
$78,000 raised over the last 10 years for the improvement and upkeep of Walnut Grove Horse Park.
Provided bleachers, corrals, sprinklers, arena footing, maintenance and trail improvements.
Work with the City of San Marcos and the County of San Diego on Trails Plans.
Equine Emergency Response
TOVEA is creating a network to facilitate the quick evacuation of horses in the event of an emergency.
Coordinated emergency lodging for 60 horses in 2007 wildfires, provided needed supplies (feed and care.)
Offer sponsorship opportunities to local businesses.
Coordinate with local organizations, businesses and clubs for mutual endeavors.

May 15th has been proclaimed the "Day of the Horse" by the City of San Marcos. TOVEA is proud to have been instrumental in this important accomplishment.
The ELCR (Equine Land Conservation Resource) 2016 - 2018 Strategic Plan is available here. It is an informative yet easy to read plan with educational information, accomplishments and future plans to conserve land for horses and the equestrian lifestyle. Our non-profit branch, the Horse Heritage Conservancy has recently been granted a 501-c3 for the same purpose of equine land preservation and education.
